However, if you have some you’re proud of, we would love to see them! (Pandora Hearts samples are also appreciated!)Can I apply to the main zine if I’m under 18?All applicants must be 18+ by the time applications close, no exceptions. Thank you for understanding. Can I apply for more than one position?Yes, you may apply for more than one position. What are spot illustrations and do I have to make them?Spot illustrations are small illustrations that accompany a writer's fic. Please warn for any potentially triggering content. Will AU pieces be featured in the zine?We will allow a certain amount of AU content in the zine, though we would prefer the majority of content to be canonverse. Why is the zine divided into angst and fluff? From our interest check, the most frequently requested content was angst and fluff! Thus, we decided to divide the zine between these two overarching themes. Will other ships/characters be allowed in the zine?Minor background ships and other characters will be permitted in zine pieces as long as the focus is on Vanoé.Will there be manga spoilers allowed in the zine?Yes! Guidelines
Thank you for your interest in contributing to Until Forever: A Vanoé Zine. We are looking to accept 20-23 artists, 4-7 writers, and 5-7 merch artists. Apps are open from October 20th to November 17th.All contributors must be 18+ by the time contributor apps close.
General Guidelines
All pieces created for the zine should feature Vanoé in some capacity. Other characters and background ships may be present so long as Vanoé is the focus. Writers and artists may collaborate, but each must apply and be accepted separately. The zine will be divided into two themes—angst and fluff. These themes are merely meant to convey the general mood of your piece and do not have to feature heavy angst or excessive fluff! A melancholic piece of Vanoé looking out over Paris in a storm would qualify for the angst side whereas a story about Vanoé’s first awkward date would work as a fluff piece, for example!Bloodlust is our NSFW digital side-zine. All accepted contributors have the option of contributing an additional piece to the side-zine if they so choose. Bloodlust is rated 18+ and will feature explicit sexual content.
Artist Guidelines
Artists will have the option to submit 1 full-page illustration as well as 2-3 spot illustrations for a single fic if they desire. Limited spots will be available to create a 2-page spread or a short comic (3 pages max). In their applications, artists should submit 3 samples of their best work. Samples must be complete and full-color. At least one must contain a finished background. VnC samples are not required but always appreciated! You may submit NSFW samples, but please mark them as such and note any potentially triggering content.
Writer Guidelines
Writers will have the option to submit 1 completed fanfiction. Writers can apply to create a short fic (max of 1.5k words) or a long fic (max of 2.5k words). In their applications, writers should submit 3 sample pieces not exceeding 7,000 words (give or take) total. Samples may be complete or excerpted from larger pieces, though at least 1 sample should be a complete, self-contained story. VnC samples are not required but always appreciated! You may submit NSFW samples, but please mark them as such and note any potentially triggering content.
Merch Artist Guidelines
Merch artists will have the option to submit 1-2 pieces of merch. In their applications, merch artists should submit 3 samples of their best work. Samples must be of merch items you have created or viable mockups. VnC samples are not required but always appreciated!
